BillionOptions Review

by Martin Kay

Why Doesn’t BillionOptions Suck in 50 Words

This broker might not suck but only time will tell. All too often what appears to be legit on the surface turns out to be another shady dealer. This is a SpotOption based broker and one thing it does have that might interest you is the SpotMachine, what they call the Billion Machine on the broker’s website. This is the new SpotOption platform for trading short-term 30, 60, and 90-second options intended for slot machine-style action. The layout is hot, the trading is the same.

Why Does BillionOptions Suck in 50 Words

BillionOption might suck because are an as yet untested broker operating out of the Marshall Islands without regulation. Boiled down to its essence it is nothing more than another SpotOption white label, nothing we haven’t seen before. The only thing that is really different is the color scheme, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it like this.

Is BillionOptions a Scam?

It’s way too soon to tell. The broker has only been around a short while and what comments I can find are limited to the usual SEO chatter; some people like them, some people don’t but all come across as SEO BS from supporters or competitors. Regardless, this is just another SpotOption broker, there are millions of them and quite a few you can trust, so why bother with this one?

Should I Open an Account with BillionOptions?

BillionOption is based in the Marshall Islands with headquarters address of Trust Company Complex, Ajeltake Road, Ajeltake Island, Majuro, Marshall Islands. They are a registered Marshall Islands company but not regulated in any way. Yet another SpotOption white label broker, has just about everything you could ask for from such a broker, except iFollow copy trading, all in a brand new wrapper.

The broker supports just about the full run of SpotOption features. Binary trading is short-term, intraday, and long-term with expiry ranging from 30 seconds out to 6 months in some cases. Other option types include Pairs, One Touch, and Ladders. Pairs are two assets like gold and oil that are traded against each other. One touch requires only one touch of the strike price to pay out and Ladders are options with set strike prices that trade in the fashion of above/below with higher payouts than the high/low options. The one thing they do have that not all SpotOption brokers have is the Forex/CFD trading so you can do spot positions when you think the time is right.

The SpotMaching is OK but it needs to have the full range of expiry, not just the short term. I understand why it doesn’t though, it’s really meant for machines, like slot machines, so traders can trade in the casino right next to the other games. In this case, access is online for that same slot machine feel. Oh well, just when I think that binary options are maturing we get this.

BillionOptions Ratings

User Friendliness 18/20

The broker is user-friendly, that’s the whole point, after all, to make trading easy and accessible to all. Information is easy to find with little to confuse you. Trading is straight-up SpotOption so everything is to use.

Number Of Assets And Expiry Times 19/20

It’s SpotOption, I think that says it all. The platform/broker supports a large asset list as well as some pairs, includes all four major asset classes, and has expiry ranging from 30 seconds to 6 months.

Commissions, Support, And Effective Return 17/20

Commissions are nonexistent like with all binary options brokers. Support is average, live chat was a dud, I didn’t feel like I was getting useful information, but there are account representatives available. Effective returns are average as well, standard high/low trades are in the range of 75% -85% depending on the asset, market conditions, etc. Ladders and pairs pay more, up to 300% or 500% depending.

Deposit, Payment & Bonus 15/20

Deposit is easy, when is it not. They allow credit cards, wires, and the eWallet WebMoney. Payments are standard, 2-3 days for processing and then up to 7 business days for transfer so about 2 weeks. Bonus is standard too, not great and not sucky, turnover is 30X deposit amount and no withdrawals can be made until the turnover is met.

Broker Extra’s 9/20

This broker has one extra going for it, dubious as it is, the Billion Machine. This is a nice platform for trading short-term 60 second options, if that’s what you like to do. There are some other features, standard for SpotOption, but extra compared to other platforms; Ladders, CFD’s, Early Out, and Rollover are only a few.

BillionOptions Overall Ratings: 78/100
