Optionet Review

by Martin Kay

Important Notice!!! Optionet Site is NOT Working – 4/2/2014

Editor’s Note – Why does Optionet Suck in 50 Words

The biggest downside of Optionet is defiantly the trading platform. Firstly, it’s unorganized, making it very hard to check a few assets simultaneously, not to mention that it’s a problem viewing just one. Second, there are very few assets and expiry times available, below average for a good binary options broker.

Why Optionet doesn’t Suck in 50 Words

The trading platform is not the best part about Optionet, but the few assets and expiry times could generate fine profits. The returns are between 70-89% and the refund are up to 15%, that’s above the average compared even to grand binary options brokers.

Optionet Full Review – High Returns, Low User-Interference

Optionet was launched around 2010, based on OptionFair trading platform technology so its 100% web based with no need for any software to be downloaded. Optionet really sets the bar up high when it comes to return- up to 89% return for a single asset. Most assets will gain you less return of course, only a few assets reach such high returns, but it’s safe to say that the average return for single assets is above average in the binary options industry. Not only the returns are high, in Optionet the refunds for out-of-money are quite rewarding, with up to 15% refund. From my experience, those kind of return are rare, very few binary options brokers will provide you with such great gains. So if you’re looking to make some real high gains, I guess Optionet could be the solution, after all they’re a part of a very lucrative list – binary options brokers with the best returns in town. However, those high returns don’t go side by side with other aspects of Optionet trading experience. The fine line between a top binary options broker and a good broker has not been reached in that case. The high returns seem almost impossible to achieve since the trading platform is just not the best trading experience I’ve seen lately. Firstly, I just couldn’t ignore the structure and design of the trading area. It’s hard enough to find the asset, not to mention viewing a few assets simultaneously. I don’t know why they made the trading area so small, especially since the return are so high. One might think that numbers like 89% return for a specific asset will be much bolder and bigger on their screen. Optionet, I guess, don’t think so. It seems somehow that Optionet are actually doing their best to hide the trading assets from the traders’ eyes. Don’t know why, but should really work on it and fix this problem. The trading area should be clear and organized; it’s the most important thing when it comes to… Binary Options trading of course, with more emphasis on the trading part. That’s what we do in binary options don’t we? Trade.

Is Optionet a Scam?

Let’s make it clear- whether Optionet design or any other binary options trading area suck, it doesn’t mean it’s a scam. It wouldn’t be fair to judge any business only from the outside. However, when it comes to binary options trading, brokers such as Optionet should really work on their trading experience to ensure not only the control and fun of the trading part. if trading is the heart of business, then the trading area and trading tools of c ourse – which I didn’t mention their annoying absence before – should be the best part of the website. Some brokers, Optionet among that list, lack many important tools and range of expiry times, but that’s ok. It just means that the broker sucks, but nothing concerning a binary options fraud. Unfortunately, when the whole trading area looks so sad, it looks like a scam. The unaided eye may look at Optionet trading area and think for themselves- look at Optionet, they look like a scam to me. And I won’t blame them. From my experience, I know that it doesn’t necessarily means it’s a fraud, therefore I won’t be saying it about Optionet. They seem legit or even half legit, but they must work on the trading platform before real traders will join them.

Optionet Complaints

ThatSucks.com (former BinaryOptionsThatSuck.com) search for complaints or positive comments regarding each trader before making up a conclusion. It’s always important to check for user thoughts, try it yourselves at home – just search in Google for Optionet complaints, scam or fraud alerts. Here is what we find about Optionet – a few customers complained about withdrawal issue, others about poor costumer service. Overall we couldn’t find anything concrete about Optionet.

Optionet Withdrawal

At Optionet the withdrawal process is OK, much like the average binary options broker.

Optionet Bonus

The Bonus at Optionet is quite high, the problem is the big wager – 50*bonus amount is needed to be eligible for bonus withdrawal, that’s way above average

Optionet Ratings

Since 2011. Trading Assets- 30 trading Assets. Minimum Deposit -200$. Payment- Credit cards, wire transfer, moneybookers. Options Profitability- 65%-89%. Out of money option refund-1-15%. Platform: TradoLogic. Languages- 3 different languages: English, French, Italian. Demo- Yes.

 User Friendly 9/20

Optionet is 100% web based TradoLogic platform, so there’s no need for any software to be downloaded to the PC. The website homepage is smaller and more organized than many other brokers. In the trading area a trader can only see one asset at a time, which turns the browsing and navigating between assets longer than usual and frustrating on the long run. The overall trading experience and user-interference is not the best. Another downside is the availability of the sites in 3 languages only.

No. of Assets and Expiry time 7/20

Total of 30 Assets: 8 stocks, 11 currencies (forex), 6 commodities, 5 indices. Optionet seriously lacking in their selection of assets and expiry times. Overall 30 assets and only half hour to a couple of hour’s expiry times are just not enough to be considered as a professional broker.

Commissions, Support and Effective return 13/20

Optionet Don’t charge any fees or commissions from investors when they initially deposit or purchase options. Optionet support is only available via 3 international numbers. The live chat service wasn’t very quick and helpful the few times we have tried. The effective return is among the high in the industry- between 65%-89% with an average of 75% In-The-Money return for most assets, while the Out-of-Money refund is good- 1-15%.

Deposit, Payment and Bonus 12/20

Optionet Minimum deposit is average – 200$. Deposit is available via C.C. or Wire transfer. Withdrawals are not limited to a minimum. Withdrawals are generally available via C.C or wire transfer (25$ charge). Optionet offer a bonus of up to 50%, up to 2500$.

Website Extra’s 10/20

First, other than the simple Digital striking price option, there are also Range and Touch options. The Touch option is usually available during weekend for some assets and could generate profits of up to 400%. Range Option gives a trader chance to make high profits by choosing a suggested range of striking price, again, only for a few assets with specific expiry. From the learning aspect, Optionet don’t provide its customers with enough few helpful trading guides.

Optionet rating: 51/100
