Why IOption doesn’t Suck in 50 Words

IOption was last reviewed by binaryoptionsthatsuck.com just a few months ago leaving us with a feeling of more to come. We are constantly trying to bring you up to date reviews so we checked them out again Indeed, IOption have made a serious upgrading to become a popular broker. There are more trading tools and options, more gains and educational material.

 

 

IOption Full Review- Reaching the potential

Launched on late 2009, IOption is based on the very successful SpotOption platform which allows investors to trade fast and easy with no need for any software to be downloaded. IOption owners are experienced online trading brokers and as veteran finance experts, they aim IOption for glory in the field of Binary Options. Relatively fresh, IOption has gained much popularity among Binary Options traders and looking forward to compete with other brokers especially in the field of new traders who want to trade and learn trading and the same time. Potential investors will be more than happy to learn trading with the interactive demo, really one of kind in the industry. Other then demo, IOption offer its clients with much information and educational materiel concerning Binary Options trading and therefore, beginners could really learn about trading before they start trading for real. These great educational tools are a great advantage for IOption, placing them in top of the Binary Options learning category for Binary Options Brokers. Other then these great educational tools, IOption have made a serious makeover over the last couple of months. When I first reviewed IOption, maybe 3 or 4 months ago I said I’m looking forward to be reviewing this broker again. Well, I’m happy to say I was right, IOption have become a rising star, especially among American traders but not only. Thanks to the amazing SpotOption Binary Options platforms technology, IOption added a few extra great trading features and tools such as the great Options Builder and the Rollover option. The Options Builder enables traders to decide their own expected profitability and refund percentage from a certain asset. Rollover is actually a stop loss toll, using it before expiry time will increase the expiry time to a longer one so you have a second chance being In-The-Money. Speaking of profits, last time I reviewed IOption I noted that the profitability for in-the-money is too low for a competent broker. Indeed, someone at IOption must have heard me, and now the profitability is up to 85%, above average for the industry but also quite common among brokers using SpotOption platform. Out-of-money refund was also increased to a maximum of 15%. No doubt, with better trading tools and profits IOption have made a serious progress and expected to continue growing as the Binary Options industry is gaining popularity. Their newest update includes improved analytic tools and an Extra feature called “Heat Signatures” which is something similar to a signal service.

 

 

Is IOption a Scam?

It’s clear to say IOption team deserves all superlatives for creating a user-friendly Binary Options trading environment, especially in such a short time. Binary Options industry is growing fast, Forex traders are switching to Binary Options, more and more investors are joining the industry and therefore faster and more advanced trading tools are required. The competition is hard, IOption defiantly proved that investing trader’s education with an advanced trading technology could lead a broker into the top list of Binary Options brokers, but as we always claim here at Binary Options that Suck- trader’s safety goes first. With all the respect for IOption and some similar brokers, without a serious regulation we just cannot revoke our scam suspicions. Therefore, the reason why IOption Suck? It’s not regulated. Like many other brokers using SpotOption technology, they are not regulated and therefore not a 100% reliable. As much as we would like to recommend IOption with all its great trading tools and educational material, its traders money we are talking about and we wouldn’t like to take a chance like that without a real trust. Minimum deposit is as high as 200$, investing such amount in a not regulated broker could be crucial. I’m not saying IOption is a scam of course, but before investing I would really recommended a second thought.

 

A good and much needed improvement is the modification to the minimum withdrawal amount: it is now just $25 from the previous of $200. That was much for a minimum specifically because incase a trader decided to deposit into IOption, traded once or twice, lost a couple of dollars, but then decides IOption is not for him- what will he do know? Try to win his money again or trade it to last dime? I don’t know if it has anything to do with the regulation but it is something to think about before trading with IOption.  Overall and even after saying those things, I can carefully advice the more cautions beginners to join and develop alongside with IOption. Binary Options that suck will continue tracking IOption development and will let you know when it becomes a fully recommended broker.

IOption Complaints

Over the past few months Binaryoptionsthatsuck.com followed chat rooms and forums, searching for any comments or indication of a binary options scam. We searched through google for any Ioption complaints, scams, etc. try it yourselves! Looking for information about Ioption wasn’t easy. We did found one angry costumer who claims that Ioption almost got him to deposit by using a false advertising. There were a few positive comments also, and as always, the regular “they’re a scam” minor comments.

 

IOption Bonus

Traders may be very happy to find the great promotions and bonuses awaiting them on IOption. The Bonus varies depending on the deposited amount and the wager depends on what bonus you received. So specific conditions apply to each bonus, but in their Terms and Conditions they say that it can vary from 10 times to 40 times. That’s a pretty high wager.

 

IOption Withdrawal

At Bots.com, we don’t care only about deposit, we also care about withdrawal. Traders want to collect their profits don’t they? When it comes to IOption, Credit Card withdrawals are limited to the initial deposit amount; the profits could only be withdrawn via wire transfer…but unfortunately the minimum withdrawal via wire transfer still remains $250. VIP customers will enjoy better withdrawal conditions and an Ioption card.

Commissions, Support and Effective return 13/20

IOption Don’t charge any fees or commissions from investors when they first deposit or purchase options. IOption do charge fees for more than one withdrawal per month (30$). IOption support is available via 12 international numbers, mostly in Europe and Australia or via email. The live chat service is quick and helpful, available 24/7. The effective return is among the above average in the industry- an average of 77% In-The-Money return for most assets, while the Out-of-Money refund is 5-15% in most cases.

 

Deposit, Payment and Bonus 12/20

Ioption Minimum deposit is average – 250$ or 200€. Deposit is available via C.C., Wire transfer (250$ min), moneybookers and more. Withdrawals are not conditioned anymore to a minimum withdrawal of 200$ depending on your currency. Withdrawals are generally available via C.C, moneybookers or Wire Transfer.     I’m very disappointed with the withdrawal process with Ioption. I put in a withdrawal request on 8/2. My request wasn’t approved until 8/14. My initial deposit was funded to my CC on 8/16. As of 8/23, I have yet to receive the remaining portion of my withdrawal request. I’ve never heard of a bank wire taking 10 business days. Investors be cautious with this binary broker….grrrr

    You can say what ever you want but the truth is that they used my money to trade without my consent and they lost it all.
    The solution given to me by my account manager. «we ca get it back but you have to make another deposit.»
    They lost 11,475 Euros in a few hours.

    I’m finding dealings with iOption to actually be very frustrating! I found their customer service to be absolutely horrible and is the reason I am reconsidering my choice to use this broker. I found their Live Chat to be only sporatically available and when it’s not, there is no message to let you know that, you just sit on “An agent will be with you shortly” indefinitely. I tried phoning them several times and found the same thing as the the Live Chat; so much for 24/7 support. When I did talk to an agent by phone, they could provide almost no help and struggled to answer even basic account opening questions; everyting had to be referred to someone else who would call me back. I supplied my home phone and cell phone numbers but didn’t get a call back. Also, their website says they accept Moneybookers as a deposit method but it wouldn’t work until a rep circumvented the system to get the deposit in. And that took two days. Their rep offered to supply live training as well to become a consistently profitable trader BUT….they didn’t phone when they said they would, the initial calls were just to get me to deposit even more money (no training) and missed some calls all together.On and on and on….and all I have done so far is gather some info and open/fund an account. There seem to be a number of good reviews for iOption but for the life of me can’t understand why. I plan to very strongly voice my concerns with iOption and if they don’t have a DRAMATIC improvement, I will dump this broker.

    UPDATE to my above review: I have now dumped this broker as their customer service is nothing short of abysmal.
    I have submitted my verification documents for the THIRD time now, exactly as instructed because the could not locate them, training phone calls continue to be non-existant with no explanation, my emails and phone calls to my account manager (a “SENIOR” account manager) are ignored, their live-chat is only sporadicaly available and when you do reach someone, it is a stunning exercise in patience as ANY question needs MINUTES to respond to (during my latest chat, I asked about a withdrawal request that was a week old and I was told “one moment”. After a 15 min silence, I typed “hello???” and the operator responded “Yes?” I had to remind her that she said one moment)sooo even what should be the shortest chat turns into a loooong one and finally….when phoning them, the representaives can almost NEVER be of assistance and continually have to “check on that” an “someone will call you back”…..and then no call-backs, ever.
    I have dumped this broker and submitted a withdrawal request for all of my money. OOOOOH! Look at all of the phone calls now! Half a dozen calls in one day including some from my account manager! Seems they had my numbers after all…..bye bye broker.
    PS_ Withdrawal request is over a week old and still “pending”. They say it should happen shortly…then noting happens.

    Sorry to make yet another entry here. I don’t mean to monopolize the thread but I feel it’s important to post the chat transcript I had with iOption today so everyone can fully understand how poor their customer service is. What is important to note is that their PHONE service is no better and that in the chat below, after EVERY question or comment I made, there was a 10-15 MINUTE pause with no response from the operator, just complete silence. Sometimes I had to make an additional comment to find out if I was still online with someone. This small conversation took…..1 hour, 34 mins! Every time iOption says they value superior customer service, they should be fined. Here’s the transcript in its entirety and with no editing:

      A few days after my last post above, my iOptions account was at $0….but when I checked Moneybookers, there was no $ there either (Moneybookers transactions are only take a few minutes usually). A few days later and still no money and my iOptions account still read $0. I spoke with them today and they are looking into what has gone wrong with the withdrawal. Jim, save yourself the grief and find a different broker. Day 18 and still no $$

      Today, Day 19 of my withdrawal request, I received $1022 CAD in my Moneybookers account; sad, and very angering thing, is that the withdrawal was for $2000 USD!!! I spoke to a VERY bored and sleepy customer service rep (who answered the phone with “hello?”…I had to ask if I had reached iOption….he said “yup”) and….of course, they will have to check on it and call me back tomorrow.
      I cannot think of ONE good thing to say about their service!

    OVER THREE WEEKS NOW and I still don’t have my withdrawal. The money is not in my Moneybookers account and is not in my iOption account either. No representative (phone or live chat) can tell me where my money is. Over and over I am told that “the finance dept will look into this and get back to me tomorrow”……always “tomorrow”……and then no one does. I was ASSURED that finance would rectify this situation tomorrow…that was three days ago and nothing! No calls, no money.
    I ABSOLUTELY DARE IOPTION TO RESPOND TO THIS THREAD HERE AND TRY TO OFFER A REASONABLE EXPLANATION! They won’t, because there is NO reasonable excuse for this treatment. I don’t know if iOption is a bunch of scammers or just brutally incompetant.
    (I promise not to post anymore until I finally get my $$ :-( )

    hey andy good thing u got the money back, i was following a similar post on another forum and it seems that ioptions pays after 18 days because the guy from the other site received his earnings after 18 days he also used moneybookers. I guess ioptions pay but doesnt pay in time, I mean 18 days thats a really long wait.

      It’s been over a month and I still don’t have my money. After almost 3 weeks they sent HALF my withdrawal (why HALF, nobody knows!!). The rest of my money is still being held hostage. Over and over and over and over they say that their Finance dept is looking into, they are sending the funds asap, etc, etc etc…..but I still don’t have my money after a MONTH!!!!

    5 weeks, they still haven’t returned my money. They are not disputing that they owe me the money, or that only HALF of my approved withdrawal was sent….but they aren’t giving me the other half of my withdrawal anyway. Why not just give me my money and sort out what went wrong afterward…everybody is happy; but no.
    On Monday I will be filing a complaint with CYSEC (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission).

      Not finding me on any of your databases is just a further testament to the pure ineptness of this broker. I can still log on to my account and ASSURE you I was an iOption customer under my own name (Andrew Mueller. Your insinuations are insulting and the depths of this broker’s childish behaviour is obviously unmeasurable.

I will admit that the withdrawal process, in your case, left much to be desired, and for that I apologize.     I have furnished all required
    information my bank says they need. Have tried since the 1st of July, but they say they don’t have the right data. They don’t trade

        whoever you are (seemes you’re connected with iOption) you’re apparently willing to save the reputation of iO.
        So I’m one of the trading beginners from Germany who deposited 100 Euro in my iOption account in September 2013. I traded only one evening, lost some bucks and finished for that time to come back later.
        I forgot this matter and came back today to have a look at my money.
        To my surprise the website is closed and after searching the web I had to realize that iOption is not in the business anymore.
        I’ve got no great illusions but would you say I will get my money back? Can you help me in this issue?
        In the worst case, can I press charges against iOption?
        Now, I’m curious about it.

The have asked for the same information multiple times. I have concluded that they are either incompetent or dishonest. I would never do business with them.
